The Houston Neuropsychological Society (HNS) would like to invite students, interns, and post doctoral fellows to submit an abstract for presentation at the HNS Spring Symposium on Saturday, May 20th, 2023. Deadline for RECEIPT of submissions is Friday, May 12, 2023 by 5:00pm CST. If you are a trainee and you submit a poster abstract for presentation, then your registration fee for the symposium will be FREE.
Posters must be available for viewing during the HNS Spring Symposium. Set-up is between 8:30am and 9:00am. Authors must be available to answer questions on their work during the mid-morning break (10:30am to 10:55am). Materials for poster display will be provided.
During the symposium, two top-rated submissions will be awarded a prize of $100 each, with one of the awards going to the poster that best contributes to the topic of culture and diversity in neuropsychology. All posters submitted will automatically be considered for BOTH categories, though no poster can win both prizes.
The Program Committee will review all abstracts, and their decision is final. We welcome new research, or work that may have been presented previously at a scientific conference within the past year.

PLEASE NOTE: Submission of a poster abstract implies registration and attendance at the conference, and presentation of the work. Please register for the HNS Spring Symposium after submitting your poster for FREE registration. The program committee will review all abstracts, and their decision is final. We welcome new research, or work that may have been presented previously at a scientific conference within the last year, as long as the student is the first author. The form is brief should take about 5 minutes to complete. It asks for your name, contact information, degree, institutional affiliation, poster co-authors (if any), poster title, and de-identified poster abstract

Poster Printing: Please bring your printed poster to be displayed during the symposium. Materials to set up your poster will be provided. You can typically get your poster printed at your university or a local print/copy store (e.g., Office Depot, Staples, etc.). If you have a financial hardship and are unable to purchase poster printing services, please email Dr. Kendra Anderson (kendra.m.anderson@uth.tmc.edu) and Dr. Williams (email above) by the May 12th, 2023 deadline.
