Please note, our memberships expire on December 31 of the year in which they were purchased. Sometimes, we may begin selling memberships online for the next year in November or December (adding some extra value for early subscribers). Please pay attention to the indicated expiration date of the membership which you purchase.
If you are not prompted to renew when you log in, your membership is active. You can check the expiration date by logging in and then selecting "membership status" under the Join/Renew tab, or you can click here (after logging in).
All HNS memberships expire on December 31 of the year when they were purchased. Membership subscriptions for the next year become available near the end of each year. Once available, you can purchase the next year's membership to extend your subscription. This is a very easy process. First, log in to the site (look at the top bar of this page). Second, follow this link and click the "Upgrade/Renew" button. Follow the simple directions to purchase the next year membership.
Thank you for your interest in HNS! Registration can be completed online by following three easy steps:
(1) Click THIS LINK to choose a membership type (Full or Student)
(2) You will then be prompted to complete a short registration form
(3) Then, you will be taken to PayPal to submit your payment
After paying, you will be able to log in on our site, edit your profile, view your name on our directory, create a classified ad (your business, job portings, etc.), and register for events with a member discount.
Also after paying, you will receive a confirmation email confirming receipt of your payment that you may keep for your records. It will indicate a transaction number which can be used as proof of payment (although such documentation will never likely be needed). Paying online will NOT subject you to ANY junk email from HNS, PayPal, or other “third parties”.
Our fees are $25 for students and $50 for full membership.

If necessary, you may also register via regular mail by sending your membership fee to the HNS Secretary at the address below. Please include the following membership information so that you can be added to the HNS website as an active member: full name, degree, licensing status, address, telephone number, and a preferred username for the HNS website.We strongly discourage this option, and we cannot guarantee timely access to the member-only features of the website.
